India is a melting pot of knowledge and skills, but the vast majority is unemployable. Employability is a problem much bigger than unemployment. The quality of India’s vocational education content and delivery system is dismal. When considering vocational training as the foundation of any economy, one needs Quality IT Training to pursue their own business aspirations.

The youth needs to be digitally literate in the 21st century. Sanctioning or even building a large number of educational institutions won’t change the employability of the youth. The quality of education needs to change. Educational content should be customized and need-based. It must take into account the level and budget of individual learners, they can learn at their own pace.

Digitalization has opened up new-age careers and professions in the fields of banking, finance, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and mobile development. Only 3 percent of engineers have new-age technological skills. 80% of all graduated engineers are unemployable. We need to redress this skill deficit. The answer is skilling the recently graduated youth and reskilling and upskilling those in the workforce.

India needs to be a technology-led knowledge- and innovation-oriented economy, focusing on data analytics and artificial intelligence if our per capita incomes are to rise. We need to empower the youth entering the workforce so they can make an informed choice through counseling support. We need to weed out those who are not up to the mark. There is a need to strengthen the certification system. Most engineers in rural areas work as construction laborers.

India should become rich before it gets old. 20 percent of Indians would be over the age of 60 in 2050. Currently, we are young, but the world is old. There is a lucrative market for skilled manpower in western countries where the population is aged and shrinking. European countries such as Bulgaria, Latvia, Ukraine, and Croatia show rapid population decline. India can provide the required workforce in these countries, provided it is skilled and employable. Opportunity knocks at our door. Can we get the necessary skills before we age? We certainly possess the potential. Whether we can rise to the occasion, only time will tell.

Leading tech companies are embracing innovative technologies, making it crucial for IT professionals to stay updated on the latest trends. Stay ahead of the curve with FalconSpark’s quality IT training programs (Source : mckinsey-digital).
