India should become rich before it gets old. 20 percent of Indians would be over the age of 60 in 2050. Currently, we are young, but the world is old. There is a lucrative market for skilled manpower in western countries where the population is aged and shrinking. European countries such as Bulgaria, Latvia, Ukraine, and Croatia show rapid population decline. India can provide the required workforce in these countries, provided it is skilled and employable. Opportunity knocks at our door. Can we get the necessary skills before we age? We certainly possess the potential. Whether we can rise to the occasion, only time will tell.
